Esther-Mirjam Sent

Esther-Mirjam Sent is a prominent academic and political figure currently serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Institutional Economics alongside Geoff Hodgson since January 2024. Esther-Mirjam holds multiple positions at Radboud University, including Professor of Economics, Vice Dean of Education of the Nijmegen School of Management, and Head of the Institute for Management Research Academy. Since October 2021, Esther-Mirjam has also been the Voorzitter at PvdA. Previous roles include serving as a Senator for PvdA in the Eerste Kamer der Staten-Generaal from June 2011 to October 2021 and holding various oversight roles in organizations such as INTRODANS, Karakter kinder- en jeugdpsychiatrie, Atria, De Utrechtse Spelen, and Plan Nederland. Esther-Mirjam earned a PhD in Economics from Stanford University and an MA in Economics from the University of Amsterdam.
