Merel van Kempen

Merel van Kempen is a dedicated professional currently serving as a Junior Project Coordinator at PvdA, focusing on local leftist collaboration and preparations for the municipal elections in 2026. Previously, Merel worked as a Political Advisor Intern at PvdA, where an advisory report was authored regarding the childcare system overhaul. Merel has also held positions as a Board Member for Education & Membership and Membership at Jonge Socialisten in the PvdA, and as a Fraction Assistant for PvdA in Amsterdam, organizing initiatives for equal opportunities. Additional experience includes a role as a Food and Beverage Server at Bar Lempicka and Hotel Jakarta Amsterdam, and a flexible babysitting position with Charly Cares. Merel is pursuing a degree in Public and Non-profit Management at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, expected to be completed in March 2024.
