Bogdan Popa

Bogdan Popa has a diverse range of work experience, starting in 2006 with an entrepreneurship project at ADVICE Romania Ltd. Bogdan then worked as a Trainee in the SME Relationship Management - Sales Force Effectiveness Team at Raiffeisen Bank Romania in 2007. Later that year, they interned at Heineken International NV, where they focused on business analysis and commercial tools development. In 2008, they interned at Corporate Connect BV, gaining experience in private equity and corporate finance advisory. Bogdan then joined BRD - Groupe Societe Generale in 2009, working in internal audit. From 2010 to 2012, Bogdan worked at UniCredit Corporate & Investment Banking, primarily in the Global Transaction Banking division, where they achieved significant milestones in business development and cross-country initiatives. Since 2012, they have been employed at PwC Austria as the Director of Financial Services M&A Leader for Austria. In this role, they are responsible for leading and executing various financial services M&A deals across Europe, focusing on credit and equity transactions, platform deals, and regulatory capital relief deals.

Bogdan Popa obtained a Master of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Finance & Investments from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University in 2009. In 2008, they also completed a Diploma in General Management and Business Administration from the same institution. Bogdan participated in a Summer School program focused on European East-West Integration at the University of Ljubljana in 2008. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance & Banking from Academia de Studii Economice din București in 2007. Bogdan also graduated with a Bachelor of Science in International Affairs & European Studies from Universitatea Româno-Americană din București in the same year. In terms of additional certifications, Bogdan acquired a Berlitz Level 6 - Deutsch certification from Berlitz Austria GmbH in 2014. Bogdan obtained a Day Skipper certification from the Royal Yachting Association in 2013. In the same year, they accomplished a Deutsch als Fremdsprache - A2 certification from ÖSD - Österreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch. Lastly, they obtained an IELTS Academic certification from IELTS in 2006.
