Erik Groothuizen

Erik Groothuizen is an experienced tax technology professional currently serving as Manager of Direct Tax Technology at PwC since January 2024. Previously held the position of Senior Direct Tax Technology Consultant & Architect at Deloitte from January 2018 to January 2024, specializing in tax technology projects and direct tax automation. Erik has also contributed to Emolife as a Captain, guiding and motivating fundraisers, and worked at Hotel Schimmelpenninck Huys in a front desk role from February 2014 to March 2017. A competitive rower during training at G.S.R. 'Aegir', Erik has held leadership positions such as Chair of the Introduction Committee and Race Management for the Hel van het Noorden rowing competition. Erik holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Fiscal Law from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, completed between 2013 and 2018.
