Kirsten Schuijt

Board Member at PWN

Kirsten Schuijt is a Dutch business executive and environmentalist. Kirsten is currently a board member of PWN, a Dutch water utility company. Prior to their current role, Kirsten served as the managing director of global policy and finance for the WWF Forest Climate Initiative.

Kirsten has spent their career working in environmental sustainability, both in the Netherlands and internationally. Kirsten has held leadership roles at WWF Netherlands, IDH, and NIOZ Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research. In these positions, Kirsten has worked on issues ranging from climate change and deforestation to sustainable fisheries and trade.

Kirsten holds a PhD in environmental economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Kirsten has also worked as a consultant on environmental projects in Malawi and the Netherlands.

Kirsten Schuijt received their master's degree in science from Maastricht University and their doctorate in philosophy from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Kirsten also attended Frankfurt International School and Copenhagen International School in Denmark.
