Jan Hellemans

Jan Hellemans is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the biotechnology sector, currently serving as Chief Operating Officer and Strategic Advisor at pxlence since August 2023. Previously, Jan held the position of Head of Assay Development for Genomics Services at CellCarta in 2023, and spent over 15 years at Biogazelle, where roles included Site Manager of the Genomics Unit and CTO as a founder. Jan's earlier career includes significant contributions at CMGG - UZ Gent as a Project Manager and at the Genetic Service Unit of Ghent University, managing core sequencing facilities and conducting molecular research. Jan Hellemans earned a PhD in Medical Sciences, a Master’s in Biotechnology, and a Bachelor in Chemistry, all from Ghent University.
