Chris Batchelor has extensive experience in technical and operational roles within the entertainment and event production industry. Currently, Chris serves as an Operator at Pyro Spectaculars by Souza since January 2012. Prior work includes a lengthy tenure at CBC Technical, Incorporated from July 2002 to June 2024, where Chris held multiple leadership positions, including President/CEO, President, Sales Manager, and Technician. Additional experience includes serving as Technical Director and Audio Engineer at Rancho Community Church, Lead Technician at Bob Burton Center for the Performing Arts, and various technical roles at other organizations such as Mission Theater and Power Plus Sound & Lighting, Inc. Chris began a career in stage lighting at Luminescence Stage Lighting and Christian Community Theater in the early 2000s. Chris completed education at Heritage Christian High School from 1998 to 2002.

Pyro Spectaculars by Souza is an American pyrotechnics company based in California. Known for designing and producing thousands of fireworks displays every year around the world, Pyro Spectaculars by Souza has been responsible for the special effects at multiple Olympic Games, NFL Super Bowls, MLB World Series and Bowl Championship Series games. In addition, Pyro Spectaculars annually produces the two largest Fourth of July fireworks celebrations in the United States, the Macy*s Fourth of July spectacular in New York and Americafest in Pasadena. By far the largest fireworks company on the West Coast, Pyro Spectaculars produces approximately 400 local fireworks shows over the July 4th holiday.
