Angela Edwards

Angela Edwards is the Co-Founder and COO of Pyxai, a HR software company that empowers organizations to hire for soft skills and culture FIRST thorough the use of their platform. Pyxai's video interviewing platform infuses soft skills and culture values assessments as part of the video interview.

As Chief Operating Officer, Angela is responsible for daily operations and spearheading sustainable growth for Pyxai. Angela also addresses the data needs of Pyxai, utilizing data mining (which includes data preparation, inspection, and cleaning) to assist and empower the natural language processing, generation, and understanding of Pyxai.

Prior to Pyxai, Angela worked for John Hancock for 11 years, where they held various positions including Financial Reporting Analyst, Actuarial Analyst, Budget Analyst, Quality Assurance Analyst, and Variable Annuities Representative. In their role as Financial Reporting Analyst, they reported daily, weekly, and monthly insurance sales metrics for the US division to a mix of analysts, managers, directors, executives, and key decision-makers in the company. Towards the end of their time at John Hancock, they played a key part in automating the manual process of sales reporting by utilizing databases and algorithms. Angela also created training and documentation guidelines.

In addition to their work at Pyxai and John Hancock, Angela also serves as a Board Member for Boss Lady Org.

Angela Edwards attended Y Combinator in Winter 2019 for Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies. Angela has a Minor in Information Technology from University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2000-2005. Angela has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics from University of Massachusetts, Amherst from 2000-2004.
