Dr. Michael Förtsch

Dr. Michael Förtsch has a diverse work experience in various roles and positions. Dr. Michael is currently the CEO of Q.ANT GmbH since July 2018. Prior to that, they worked at TRUMPF GmbH + Co. KG, where they held the positions of Executive Assistant to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Vice Chairman of the Managing Board from January 2017 to June 2018, and Consultant Corporate Development from March 2015 to December 2016. Before joining TRUMPF, Dr. Förtsch worked at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter from January 2012 to February 2015 and as a Stipendiat from January 2010 to December 2011. Dr. Michael was also a Foreign Guest Researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology from November 2012 to June 2013. Additionally, they briefly worked as a Doktorand at the University of Calgary from March 2010 to July 2010. Early in their career, Dr. Förtsch was a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at the Lehrstuhl für Optik, Information und Photonik from January 2007 to August 2009.

Dr. Michael Förtsch pursued their education in the field of Physics. Dr. Michael obtained their Promotion degree from the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light between 2010 and 2015. Prior to that, they studied Quantum Technologies at the University of Calgary in 2010. Dr. Michael'seducational journey began at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, where they completed their Staatsexamen für das Lehramt an Gymnasien in Mathematik und Physik from 2004 to 2009.
