Russell Anderson

Principal Scientist at Q-CTRL

Russell Anderson is an accomplished physicist with extensive experience in quantum sensing and education. Currently serving as the Head of Quantum Sensing and Lead Scientist at Q-CTRL since November 2020, Russell has previously held positions as a Senior Lecturer in Physics at La Trobe University and a Lecturer in Physics at Monash University. Notable research includes wideband atomic magnetometry, portable optical clocks, and various innovations in education technology. Russell’s academic journey includes a Ph.D. from Swinburne University of Technology and several research positions, including roles at the Joint Quantum Institute, NIST, and as a Visiting Scholar at Amherst College.
