Q Energy Systems is an advanced nuclear energy company developing deployable microreactor platforms to deliver resilient, long-duration clean power for U.S. terrestrial infrastructure, with a defined pathway to future lunar surface power systems.
Our flagship platform, the ASCENT™ Microreactor, is a single-reactor, HALEU-fueled nuclear microreactor architecture designed as a transportable clean energy product. The system is engineered to provide reliable baseload power to remote industrial sites, defense and national security installations, disaster-resilient infrastructure, data centers, and critical facilities where grid access, fuel logistics, and weather-dependent generation are limiting factors.
ASCENT™ is offered in two tightly coupled configurations derived from one common reactor design:
ASCENT™-T (Terrestrial Configuration) optimized for rapid deployment, higher electrical output, and flexible integration into U.S. infrastructure environments; and
ASCENT™-L (Lunar Configuration) optimized for mass efficiency, long-duration autonomous operation, and thermal rejection in vacuum environments, aligned with NASA and U.S. Department of Energy lunar surface power objectives.
The platform is built around a sealed, factory-fabricated reactor cartridge, passive heat-pipe cooling, and automated operation with continuous human supervisory authority. The system is designed for transportability, rapid site deployment, and multi-year operation without onsite refueling or nuclear maintenance.
Q Energy Systems follows an Earth-first execution strategy to validate licensing pathways, manufacturing readiness, and real-world deployment performance within the United States, while ensuring the underlying reactor architecture remains compatible with future space and lunar energy applications.
Our mission is to strengthen U.S. energy security today and enable sustained clean power infrastructure for future off-world operations.
