Aloys Akkerman

Aloys Akkerman has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Aloys began their career at Ahold as a Medewerker Verkoopklaar & Kassier and worked there from 2008 to 2011. Aloys then transitioned to the field of computer science and joined Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, where they worked as a Teaching Assistant for Imperative Programming and Algorithms and Data Structures in C from 2011 to 2014. In 2012, Aloys also worked as a Software Engineer at Q-Free ASA on an internal project. After that, they continued their teaching assistant roles at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, focusing on Compiler Construction, Operating Systems, and Imperative Programming from 2012 to 2014. Aloys joined Q-Free ASA again in 2014, this time as a Research & Development Engineer, working on image processing algorithms for automatic license plate recognition. In 2018, they were promoted to the role of Product Manager for Intrada Synergy Server, where they led a software development team and focused on delivering high-quality software to customers in the tolling domain. Finally, in 2023, Aloys became the Vice President of Intrada Insight at Q-Free ASA.

Aloys Akkerman attended Atheneum bij Augustinuscollege Groningen from 2005 to 2010. Later, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computing Science from the University of Groningen from 2010 to 2013. Following this, they furthered their studies at the same institution and earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computing Science from 2013 to 2015.
