Oliver Mainwaring

Oliver Mainwaring, PhD, is currently serving as the Medical Communications Manager at Q-linea since July 2023, where responsibilities include reporting to the Chief Medical Officer and the Director of Sales and Marketing. Prior to this role, Oliver worked as a Scientific Researcher at Uppsala University from September 2016 to November 2022, completing projects related to PhD studies in Neuro-oncology under the supervision of Dr. Fredrik Swartling. Additionally, Oliver has experience as a teacher and mentor, developing a new teaching module and overseeing educational activities for Master’s and medical students over a three-year period. Earlier research involvement includes a Master's project at the University of Portsmouth investigating interstitial cells in the ageing bladder and an Erasmus exchange project at Leiden University Medical Center focusing on skin repair and regeneration. Academic credentials include a PhD in Neuro-oncology from Uppsala University, a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences, and a Bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences, all from the University of Portsmouth.
