Janine Novak-Carnel

Janine Novak-Carnel has worked in a variety of roles in the retail and business industries since 1986. Janine began their career as a Senior Retail Buyer for Meier and Frank Department Stores, where they were responsible for $5.0 Million in sales across 8 stores. In 1993, they moved to Payless Drug Stores as Senior Retail Buyer, where they were responsible for $500 Million in retails sales across 1000+ stores in 4 Western States. In 1997, they became the Marketing Director at KATU Television, managing the positions of New Business Development Manager, Research Analyst and Creative Assistant. In 2002, they took the role of Vice President of Sales, Marketing and PR at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts-Portland, where they grew sales to a record high of $35 Million and a student body membership of over 1,200. In 2008, they took the role of General Manager and Marketing Manager at Oswego Lake House LLC, where they were responsible for all aspects of running a successful high-end restaurant. Janine increased sales by 25% over 2 years while simultaneously reducing expenses by 32%. In 2011, they took the role of Vice President Client Support and Sales Operations at SureID, where they managed multiple internal and in the field customer support teams. In 2017, they became the VP Marketing and Communications and VP Marketing Communications at Cypress Development ND. Finally, in 2018, they took the roles of VP of Human Resources, Senior VP Operations and VP Client Support at Q5id.

Janine Novak-Carnel attended the University of Minnesota Duluth from 1973 to 1978, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing, Home Economics, and Art/Design.
