Marjolein Louwrink

Marjolein Louwrink has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of VAT (Value Added Tax) management and compliance. Marjolein has worked in various companies and assignments, often in interim roles.

From 2003 to 2009, Marjolein worked at PWC as an assistant tax manager, where they gained experience in general VAT advisory work, VAT compliance, and assisting clients with communications with tax authorities.

Marjolein then moved on to various VAT management and compliance roles in different companies. This includes roles as a VAT manager at Q8 KPNWE, Cisco, Royal Cosun, JLG Industries, and Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company, where they assisted with VAT optimization, implementation of VAT compliance processes, and new business structure implementations.

Marjolein also worked at Sovos as an implementation manager, responsible for analyzing and implementing VAT compliance processes within the Sovos VAT reporting software. Marjolein also provided training and workshops on the use of the software.

In addition, Marjolein worked as a VAT specialist at Zelfstandige, where they provided VAT expertise, and as a VAT specialist (freelance) at Q8, focusing on the project 'Future VAT Compliance' involving new ways of VAT reporting and required tools and resources.

Currently, Marjolein is working at Q8 as an ITX Manager & Digital Tax Lead, utilizing their skills in IT and digital tax to oversee tax-related matters within the company.

Marjolein Louwrink has a Master of Science degree in Fiscal Economics from Tilburg University, which they obtained from 1999 to 2004. Marjolein holds a VWO (pre-university degree) from CSG Jan Arentsz in Alkmaar, where they studied from 1993 to 1999. Marjolein also completed a post-bachelor (HBO) course in Big Data Business Analysis at Inholland Academy from 2020 to 2021. In the same year, they completed another post-bachelor (HBO) course on Reporting with Power BI at Inholland Academy. Marjolein Louwrink pursued a Post Master degree in Tax & Technology at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) in 2021.
