Shafi Taleb Al-Ajmi

Shafi Taleb Al-Ajmi has been appointed Executive Vice President of Manufacturing at KPI. Prior to this, he served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Administration and Finance at the KPC subsidiary Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC). Mr. Al-Ajmi is a veteran oil executive with a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Kuwait University and 25 years of experience. He has led several acquisition transactions and strategic feasibility studies in the petrochemical industry and headed the development of PIC’s petrochemical strategies in 2030 and 2040. He has been serving as Deputy Chairman of the Board for SK PIC Global Co. since February 2020, and his other board memberships include Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) since 2016; Equate Petrochemical since Feb 2021; and Canada Kuwait Petrochemical Company (CKPC) from 2017 to 2021.
