Carla Kirk-Cohen

Carla Kirk-Cohen has a diverse work experience in the tech industry. Carla is currently working as a Software Engineer at Chaincode Labs since September 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Board Member at both Brink Technology from May 2021 to October 2022, and at ₿trust since December 2021. Carla also co-founded Qala in November 2021. Earlier in their career, they worked at Lightning Labs as the Liquidity Team Lead from September 2021 to March 2022, and as a Software Engineer from October 2019 to August 2021. Carla was a Bitcoin Summer Resident at Chaincode Labs in June 2019. Carla started their career as a Software Engineer at Luno from January 2018 to May 2019.

Carla Kirk-Cohen completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at Rhodes University from 2013 to 2015. Carla then pursued an Honours degree in Computer Science at the University of Cape Town from 2016 to 2017. Subsequently, they pursued another Honours degree in Economics at the same university in 2017.
