Femi Longe

Femi Longe has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Femi is currently the Chief Executive Officer at QalaAfrica, where they lead the delivery of a program that trains African Bitcoin Developers and matches them with well-remunerated roles in Bitcoin companies worldwide.

Prior to Qala, Femi worked as a Learning Consultant at Edtech Connections, leading a consulting project on the skill needs of African entrepreneurs. Femi also served as the Lead Faculty of the TEDLab at the Nigerian University of Technology and Management, where they designed and facilitated the curriculum for an entrepreneurial project that focused on critical social and economic challenges in Africa.

Femi has a strong background in startup ecosystems and technology hubs. Femi co-founded Co-creation Hub Nigeria (CcHUB) and played a key role in building it into the most successful social innovation center and technology hub in Africa. Femi has also served as a Non-Executive Director at CcHUB and iHub, focusing on governance and strategic direction.

Additionally, Femi has held positions such as Strategic Partnership Coach for Entrepreneurs at The Partnership Lab, Director of Programme at Spin Up Science, and Team Lead Business Development at Qiesto Learning. Femi was also a Co-Founder of Tender.ng, an organization that aimed to ease the process of obtaining information about available contracts and tenders in Nigeria.

Earlier in their career, Femi co-founded and managed the UK operations of Africa++, an organization facilitating collaboration activities across sectors and interests to address Africa's development challenge. Femi also worked as the Project Lead for the UpRising Leadership Programme at The Young Foundation, where they developed a youth leadership development program to empower young people from marginalized communities in the UK to enter public leadership positions.

Femi Longe obtained a Master of Science degree in Learning Sciences & EdTech from the Center for Research and Interdisciplinarity (CRI) between 2018 and 2019. Prior to that, they attended Obafemi Awolowo University from 1996 to 2002, where they pursued Electronics and Electrical Engineering. Femi also attended Government College Ibadan from 1991 to 1994, and Federal Government College, Warri from 1989 to 1991, though specific degrees and fields of study were not mentioned for these institutions.
