Amit Kaistha has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Amit began their career as a Graduate Trainee at Tata Motors Finance in 1998 before moving on to work as an Executive - Finance at Daewoo Motors India Limited. At Daewoo, they were responsible for relationship management with key banks and financiers. Amit was also selected to pursue a full-time MBA program in South Korea.
In 2002, Amit joined ICICI Bank, where they held various roles including Programs Manager, Product Manager, and Business Development Manager in the Retail Assets division. Amit was responsible for relationship management with decision-makers at leading automobile manufacturers and launched national programs and consumer promotions. Amit also managed advertisement campaigns and wholesale funding for dealers. Later, they served as the Country Head in Malaysia, where they focused on correspondent banking business development and originated investment banking deal flow. Amit also served as the Assistant General Manager and Head of Consumer Bank in Hong Kong, where they set up and scaled the consumer banking business. Amit was involved in market segmentation, product positioning, policy and product framework design, and technology adoption and enhancement.
In 2011, Amit joined Kotak Mahindra (UK) Ltd. as a Senior Vice President. There, they enhanced the distribution business in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and Korea, focusing on asset raising for discretionary funds across equity and fixed income. Amit also established distribution channels through alliances with asset managers and private banks.
From 2016 to 2019, Amit worked at IIFL Asset Management as the Principal and Head of Institutional Sales and Distribution for the APAC region. In this role, they contributed to institutional sales and distribution, spanning corporate loans, project finance, shipping finance, structured finance, and various risk spectrums.
In 2020, Amit joined Startup-O as the Head - Investor Partnerships, where they worked with startups to scale up by introducing them to prospective business clients and leading VC funds. Amit also led efforts to fundraise for the Startup-O flagship fund by establishing partnerships with leading Singapore-based wealth managers. Amit then worked at Hatcher+ as the Head of Investor Relations, before moving on to become a Charter Member at TiE in 2021.
In 2022, Amit joined Gud2Gr8 Business Solutions Pte. Ltd. as the Chief Collaborator, and in 2023, they are scheduled to start working at Qapita as the Head of Marketplace for Southeast Asia.

Amit obtained a High School degree from Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute in 1995. Subsequently, from 1995 to 1998, they attended EMPI Business School and the University of Madras, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a field of study in Business Administration.
In 2000, Amit enrolled at Ajou University, where they pursued an MBA with a specialization in International Business, completing the program in 2002.
In 2013, Amit attended INSEAD, focusing on Strategic Management in Banking for a brief period.
In 2019, Amit studied Data Analytics & Machine Learning at the National University of Singapore.
Furthermore, Amit has also obtained additional certifications. Amit completed AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2019. Amit earned the Open Water Scuba Diver certification from PADI in March 2017. Amit has also obtained CMFAS 1B and 6 certifications from IBFSG - The Institute of Banking & Finance Singapore, though the specific dates are not provided.
