Beth Gilson

Beth Gilson is the current SVP Finance at Qapital. Prior to their current position, Beth was the VP Finance at Varo Money Inc from December 2016 to November 2018. During their time at Varo, they were the head of finance and was responsible for writing the capital plan, developing the model and financial forecast, creating stress tests, and working with the regulators from pre-filing through approval. Beth Gilson has also worked as the Chief Financial Officer / Chief Operating Officer at Lend Street Financial, Inc from July 2015 to July 2016. As the COO and CFO, they were responsible for establishing the lending, servicing and corporate infrastructure, ensuring loans were compliant with legal and regulatory requirements, developing processes and efficiencies for scalability, securing state licenses, implementing NLS servicing system, and being instrumental in working with Product and Tech / Dev on origination design and build.

Beth Gilson has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology from Princeton University.

Their manager is George Friedman, Co-founder & Co-CEO. They work with Jonathan Perkel - General Counsel, Mark Barberan - COO, and Erik Akterin - Co-Founder & CTO.
