Michael Billington

Michael Billington is an experienced aviation professional with a robust background in network control and operational management. Currently serving as Manager of Network Control at Qatar Airways since October 2013, Michael's responsibilities include monitoring and controlling both passenger and freighter flights, along with implementing disruption recovery plans to ensure schedule integrity and customer satisfaction. Prior to Qatar Airways, Michael was the Manager of Integrated Operations Control at Emir Airlines, where the establishment of the Integrated Operations Control Centre was a significant achievement. Michael's extensive career began at the Royal Air Force, serving from 1983 to 1992, and has included key roles at First Air and Air Labrador, demonstrating a strong progression within customer service and operational oversight in the airline industry.
