Emily Brown

Emily Brown is an accomplished investment professional with extensive experience in emerging markets and private equity. Currently serving as an Emerging Markets Investment Partner at Qatar Investment Authority since October 2020, Emily specializes in supporting early-stage entrepreneurs to maximize their growth potential. Prior to this role, Emily was a Partner at Sequoia Capital from October 2012 to May 2020, where the focus was on collaborating with founders to build successful companies across consumer, developer, fintech, and enterprise sectors. Earlier experience includes a tenure as a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company from September 2007 to October 2012, where involvement in various projects centered on private equity and financial institution clients across Europe and the Middle East. Emily holds an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University.
