Atul Chandorkar

Atul Chandorkar has an extensive work experience in data analytics and business intelligence. Atul started their career at Pfizer as a SAS Programmer, where they created SAS programs to report clinical trial performance. At HSBC, they worked as a Regional Business Intelligence Officer and later as a Regional Business Intelligence Manager, leading a team that designed and developed a regional BI data warehouse. At FGB, they served as a Senior Manager in the BI & Customer Analytics CoE in Strategy & Planning Function, where they played a key role in implementing BI projects and automating KPIs. At First Abu Dhabi Bank, they worked as the VP and Head of Analytics, where they developed a customer lifetime value calculation model and implemented an inbound lead scoring initiative. Currently, Atul is working at Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) as the Head of Data Science, where they have set up a data science team and provides strategic direction to increase the data maturity of the bank. Atul also works with business units to identify and execute data science projects to drive business growth and solve complex business problems.

Atul Chandorkar is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Data Science at Liverpool John Moores University, with an expected completion date in 2021. Prior to this, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General from Cass Business School, between 2015 and 2017. In 2017-2018, they completed a program in Business Analytics & Intelligence at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Atul has a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Science from PIIT, Mumbai, which they obtained from 2000 to 2004.

Additionally, Atul Chandorkar holds several certifications. Atul obtained the SAS Certified Statistical Business Analyst using SAS 9 certification from SAS in March 2018. In January 2018, they received the SAS Certified Predictive Modeler Using SAS Enterprise Miner 14 certification, also from SAS. Atul is also a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified professional, certified by IASSC in August 2016. In May 2016, Atul earned the Big Data Scientist certification from Arcitura Education Inc. Atul also possesses the PRINCE2 Practitioner Professional certification from The Open Group, obtained in October 2015. In September 2015, they earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Additionally, Atul holds the TOGAF Practitioner Professional certification from The Open Group, obtained in July 2015. Lastly, in April 2015, they became an ILM Certified Manager after completing the certification program offered by the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM).
