Maja Arslanagic has extensive experience in the hospitality and tourism industry. Maja worked at Qatar Museums from 2012 to 2019, where they held various roles including Head of Guest Relations and Head of Cultural Tourism. At Qatar Museums, Maja was responsible for managing upscale guest relations, developing cultural experiences and tourism projects, and establishing partnerships with major stakeholders. Prior to their time at Qatar Museums, Maja founded and directed Apis Adriatica, a destination management company, from 2010 to 2012. Maja also worked as a Tour Leader, Coordinator, and Guide at Travel Europe Inc from 2005 to 2012, where they were responsible for welcoming and accompanying groups of tourists and managing logistics. Maja's previous work experience includes roles at Hostin d.o.o., Member of INA Group, Croatian National Tourism Board, and Nova Tours & Aurora Travel.
Maja Arslanagic completed their Bachelor's degree in French and Spanish Language and Literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Studies, University of Zagreb from 2001 to 2007. Maja then pursued a Master's degree in the same field at the same university and graduated in 2009. In 2009, Maja also attended the MIB Trieste School of Management and obtained another Master's degree, this time in International Masters in Tourism and Leisure. From 2000 to 2013, they studied Journalism, TV & PR at the Faculty of Political Sciences, also at the University of Zagreb, where they earned their Bachelor's degree. In 2014 to 2015, Maja enrolled in the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) and Arts Action in New York for an Executive staff development program in Cultural Management.
