Shafeek Puthiyottil

Shafeek Puthiyottil's work experience includes working as the Head of General Ledger and Reporting at Qatar Museums starting in 2014. Prior to that, they worked at Fitch from 2012 to 2014, where they held the positions of Sr.Managing Accountant and Management Accountant. At Fitch, they were responsible for managing finance, procurement, and administration functions, as well as formulating and managing financial targets and budgets. Shafeek also managed the financial and operational aspects of the company, including reviewing receivables reports and assessing risky debts. Before working at Fitch, Shafeek worked at Capgemini in 2011 as a Team Lead in Finance& Accounting, where they conducted business process analysis and systems development activities. From 2007 to 2011, Shafeek worked at British Petroleum as a Sr.Executive in Finance & Accounts, where they provided training to resources and ensured smooth processes. Shafeek also conducted business calls and meetings with clients and finalized intercompany reconciliations and balance agreements.

Shafeek Puthiyottil obtained a BCOM degree in Finance from the University of Calicut. Shafeek then pursued an MBA in Finance from Christ University in Bangalore. During 2016 to 2017, Shafeek underwent CMA Certification from IMA Qatar Chapter at the Institute of Management Accountants, focusing on Accounting and Finance. Additionally, they have completed the certification course "Leading with Financial Analysis" at Harvard University and is also certified in Treasury Risk Management from the Qatar Association of Public Accountants.
