Shaima Ayoub

Shaima Ayoub has a diverse range of work experience. Shaima is currently working as a Visual and Material Culture Researcher at the National Museum of Qatar for Qatar Museums since October 2021. Prior to that, they had been a Freelance Photographer since September 2014, operating under their own brand, shaimaayoub.com. Shaima also worked as a Curatorial Intern at The Media Majlis in Northwestern University in Qatar from September 2020 to May 2021. Shaima has experience in social media management, having served as a Social Media Manager for Just us & Otto from May 2018 to September 2019. Additionally, they worked as a Menswear Buying and Wholesale Assistant at Couverture & The Garbstore from November 2016 to May 2017. Shaima began their career as a Sales Assistant at & Other Stories from October 2014 to June 2016. Prior to that, they gained experience as an E-commerce Merchandising Intern at The Village Bicycle in January and February 2013, where they assisted with e-commerce and merchandising tasks.

From 2019 to 2020, they attended UCL and obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Museum and Gallery Practice.

Between 2011 and 2014, they studied at Middlesex University, where they completed their undergraduate degree in Fashion Communication & Styling.

In 2010, Shaima Ayoub attended Middlesex University for a brief period, during which they earned a Foundation degree in art & design.
