Marcin Werla

Marcin Werla is an experienced professional in digital collections and cultural heritage, currently serving as a lecturer at Uniwersytet Warszawski starting October 2024, while also holding multiple leadership roles at Qatar National Library since January 2019, including Director of Digital Collections and Director of Digital Content and Engagement. Previously, Marcin worked at Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center from 2002 to 2018, where extensive management of teams focused on national and international projects in IT applications for cultural heritage took place. Other significant roles include contributions to the digitization of museum objects at the National Institute for Museums and Public Collections, teaching at Poznan University of Technology, and providing Java technology tutoring to Polish IT developers. Marcin's educational background includes degrees in Software Engineering, Computing Science, Project Management, and Service Design, with international experience from HEC Paris.
