John Richard Prados Carvajal

John Richard Prados Carvajal is an experienced legal professional specializing in maritime law and commercial shipping. Currently serving as Head Counsel Shipping and previously as Senior Counsel for Trading & Marketing at QatarEnergy since January 2020, John has a robust legal background with extensive roles at notable companies such as NAKILAT as General Counsel and Topaz Energy and Marine as Legal Manager. Prior experience includes positions at Qatar Petroleum, Petrobras, and Clyde & Co LLP. John also contributed to academia as a Senior Lecturer in Maritime Law at Universidad Maritima del Caribe. Educational credentials include a Master of Laws in Maritime Law from the University of Southampton and a law degree from Universidad Católica del Táchira.
