Meredith Freedman

Meredith Freedman has a diverse work experience in the legal and insurance industry. Meredith is currently working at QBE Re as the Vice President since October 2023. Prior to this, they served as an Assistant Vice President at QBE Re from December 2022 to October 2023. Before joining QBE Re, Meredith worked at AXIS Capital as a Senior Claims Specialist - Reinsurance from September 2019 to December 2022. Meredith was responsible for reviewing and setting up claims and reserves for multiple lines of business. Prior to AXIS Capital, Meredith worked as a Risk Manager at Perfetto Contracting Co. Inc. from September 2018 to September 2019, where they reviewed and organized general liability, worker's compensation, and auto claims. Meredith also trained and directed staff on claim handling procedures. Meredith's previous experience includes working as a Claims Specialist at Chubb from June 2014 to August 2018, where they handled EPLI litigation claims, and as a Claims Attorney at Monitor Liability Managers from August 2012 to April 2014, where they managed employment law and director/officer non-profit claims. Additionally, they have experience as a Pro Bono Attorney at Prairie State Legal Services Inc., an Attorney at Skyles Law Group, LLC, and a Receptionist at BIK & CO, LLP. Meredith began their career as a Legal Consultant/Auditor at Zurich Insurance from August 2008 to January 2012. Meredith holds a Juris Doctor degree from the IU School of Law-Indianapolis, where they also worked as a Legal Intern in the Civil Practice Clinic in 2007.

Meredith Freedman received a J.D. degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2007. Prior to that, they earned a B.A. degree in Politics, American Studies, and Legal Studies from Brandeis University in 2005.
