Ryan McCauley

Vice President, Business Development at QE Solar

Ryan McCauley has a diverse work experience in the renewable energy industry. Ryan currently holds the position of Vice President of Business Development at QE Solar since January 2023. Prior to that, they founded Tritium3 Renewable Ventures, a company that specializes in community and commercial solar projects, where they served as the Owner from December 2012.

From November 2010 to November 2012, McCauley worked as the Vice President of Project Development at Hoku Solar, Inc., where they were responsible for developing and constructing large-scale commercial and utility-scale projects. Ryan also held the role of General Manager at Hoku Solar from August 2007 to November 2010, overseeing the daily management of the business unit and leading sales and construction efforts.

Before joining Hoku Solar, McCauley worked at Hoku Scientific, Inc. as the Director of Production and Government Contracts Manager from September 2002 to July 2007. In this role, they were responsible for manufacturing operations and strategic division planning. Ryan also managed a $5 million government fuel cell demonstration project at Pearl Harbor, overseeing all government relationships and contract compliance.

Ryan McCauley began their career in the United States Navy, where they served as a Surface Warfare Officer from May 1997 to April 2003. During their time in the Navy, they held the position of Training Liaison Officer at Afloat Training Group Middle Pacific, Ford Island Hawaii, where they provided training and certification for warships at Pearl Harbor Naval Station, managing a 40-person embarked team.

Ryan McCauley attended Vanderbilt University from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a B.E. degree in Chemical Engineering.
