Mike Checkley

Mike Checkley has a diverse work experience with various roles and responsibilities. Mike began their career in 1997 as a co-owner of Okanagan Sailboat Hardware. In 2000, they worked as a Program Administrator at OUC, where they conducted presentations and administered the Student Summer Works Program. From 2001 to 2002, they served as a Software Programmer at Netcentrics, specializing in web development. In 2002, Mike joined Optimed Software, initially as an Operations Manager and later became the Director of Product Management. During their time at Optimed Software, they played a crucial role in the development and marketing of Accuro® EMR, a software for medical clinics. In 2004, Optimed Software was acquired by QHR Technologies, where Mike continued their work as the Operations Manager. Mike also held various positions at QHR, including General Manager, SVP Product and Technology, and eventually became the President and CEO. Mike was involved in the technology industry as a Board Member of ITAC Health and as a Mentor at Accelerate Okanagan, where they provided guidance to start-up companies. Additionally, they served as an Advisory Board Member at the Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission. Mike Checkley's extensive experience showcases their leadership and expertise in the technology and healthcare sectors.

Mike Checkley attended Okanagan College from 1997 to 2002, where they pursued a degree in Computer Information Systems with a focus in Computer Science.
