Manfred Schmid

Manfred Schmid is a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at Qiagen, with a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Geneva, obtained in 2005. They have extensive experience in basic research laboratories across Austria, Switzerland, and Denmark, contributing to numerous publications in high-impact journals. Manfred has developed a solid interest in computational data analysis, attending courses at the Bioinformatics Research Centre at Aarhus University since 2013. Throughout their career, they have engaged in collaborative research and have been involved in supervising technicians, pre-doctoral, and PhD students, showcasing a strong ability to work in teams and manage independent projects.
