Alison Towers

Alison Towers has an extensive work experience in the financial markets. Alison joined QIC in 2007 and currently holds the position of Director - Head of Portfolio Implementation. In this role, they oversee trading across all QIC's global liquid market asset classes and leads the Global Liquid Markets Trading team to achieve 'best execution' and ensure trading activities are accurate and compliant. Alison has been with QIC since 2007 and has held previous roles such as Director - Global Liquid Markets Trading, Head of liquid markets trading - Australia, Head of Dealing, and Portfolio Manager. Before joining QIC, Alison worked at Suncorp Investment Management as a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager from 2004 to 2007. Prior to that, they worked at Suncorp Treasury as a Market Risk Analyst from 2003 to 2004. Alison began their career at Suncorp as a Credit Analyst - Fixed income and later as a Trade Support Analyst - Investment Operations from 2002 to 2003.

Alison Towers completed their education history with a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from FINSIA between 2002 and 2004. Before that, they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) with a major in Mathematics at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 1999 to 2001. Additionally, Alison completed Year 12 at All Hallows College, although the specific years are not provided.
