Dan O'Callaghan

Dan O'Callaghan has a diverse and extensive work experience in software engineering and development. Dan started their career as a Software Engineer at Qld Investment Corporation in 2004, where they worked on developing an investment property lease application. Dan utilized technologies such as J2EE, Struts, Hibernate, Ajax, DHTML, Spring, and Oracle to track operations of retail centers across Australia. Dan also created MS Reporting Services reports integrated with the Java-based front end.

In 2006, Dan joined News International as a Software Engineer, where they worked as a Web Developer on the team developing the Sun-on-line website. Dan customized open-source applications such as JForum and Roller Blogger, in addition to bespoke development. Dan'swork involved the use of HTML, DHTML, CSS, Ajax, XML, Struts, Oracle schema development, and general programming.

Later in 2006, they joined British Sky Broadcasting as a Software Engineer. Here, they worked on unknown projects until 2007.

Lastly, Dan served as an Analyst Programmer at Queensland Investment Corporation since 2007. Dan'smain responsibilities included designing, developing, and supporting business applications using technologies such as SharePoint, InfoPath, Nintex, web services, and other web technologies. Dan collaborated closely with stakeholders to gather information and suggest optimal solutions. Dan'swork included the development of systems for approving and monitoring international travel, reviewing marketing material, creating and maintaining financial models, and managing task dashboards.

Dan O'Callaghan completed their education in a chronological order. Dan started their education in 1978 at the Australian Catholic University, where they obtained a Diploma of Teaching. Dan then pursued further education at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 1985 to 1986, earning a Graduate Diploma in Computer Education. Finally, from 1987 to 1991, Dan attended The University of Queensland, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with 1st Class Honours in Computer Science.
