Daniel Parsons

Investment Performance Analyst at QIC

Daniel Parsons, CFA has a diverse work experience. Daniel started their career as a Procurement Support in the Department of Employment in November 2014. After that, they worked as a Graduate Economist at the Australian Bureau of Statistics from November 2015 to January 2017, where they were responsible for compiling and analyzing financial income and non-financial assets data.

From January 2017 to April 2019, Daniel worked as a Risk Analyst at the Australian Office of Financial Management. During this time, they gained experience in assessing and managing risks.

After their role as a Risk Analyst, Daniel transitioned into a Funding and Liquidity Analyst position at the same company, where they worked from April 2019 to May 2021. In this role, they were involved in financial planning and liquidity management.

Most recently, Daniel joined QIC in February 2022 as an Investment Performance Analyst. In this position, they are responsible for analyzing investment performance data.

Throughout their career, Daniel has demonstrated proficiency in data analysis, financial reporting, and database management. Daniel'sexperience in both public and private sectors has equipped him with a deep understanding of financial markets and economic models.

Daniel Parsons, CFA pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with their high school education at Karabar High School, which they attended from 2007 to 2012. After completing high school, they went on to The Australian National University, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Economics, studying from 2013 to 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Daniel Parsons, CFA has also obtained several additional certifications. In March 2014, they received a Certificate III in Community Pharmacy from Healthcare Training Australia. Continuing their professional development, they achieved a Diploma of Financial Markets - AFMA Accredited Individual (Dealing) from the Australian Financial Markets Association in March 2018.

Furthermore, Daniel Parsons, CFA has demonstrated their expertise in finance by passing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exams. Daniel successfully passed the CFA Level 1 exam in August 2018, the CFA Level 2 exam in August 2019, and ultimately earned the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute in March 2021.
