Mark Trenerry has extensive work experience in the IT field. Mark began their career at Commonwealth Bank as a Teller, Clerk, and Loans Officer from 1983 to 1989. Mark then worked at various positions in the Department of Finance from 1991 to 1997. In 1997, they became a Systems Administrator at Brisbane Catholic Education Centre before transitioning to become a Network Administrator at UFJ Finance Limited from 1997 to 2003.

From 2003 to 2011, they worked at Bank of Queensland in multiple roles, including IT Manager for BOQEF IT and Senior Manager for Platform Services. During their time at BOQ, they initiated a virtualization program to create a 90% virtualized environment across WinTel and Unix environments.

In 2013, Trenerry joined Bank of Queensland as Senior Manager for Infrastructure and Applications before being promoted to Team Leader Technical Services. Mark then moved to QIC in 2015, where they currently work as a Cloud and Infrastructure Manager, focusing on defining the strategy and roadmap of technology services, as well as designing and developing technology infrastructure architecture for the company.

Mark Trenerry began their education journey at Downlands College, where they studied from 1979 to 1982. However, the specific degree and field of study pursued during this time are unknown. Following this, they attended QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 1989 to 1990, focusing on computing and specializing in IT.
