Tom Murphy

Tom Murphy is an experienced professional with a robust career in finance and agriculture. Currently serving as Director at The North Australian Pastoral Company since 2020 and Head of Agriculture and Natural Capital at QIC since August 2018, Tom has held significant roles in institutional equity sales at major financial institutions, including Citi, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, and J.P. Morgan. Prior to this, Tom was a professional rugby player for the Queensland Rugby Union and participated in teams such as Harlequins and ACT Brumbies. Tom holds an MA Hons in Economics from the University of Cambridge and both an MA and BA from The University of Queensland, further enhanced by early career involvement in livestock development programs with the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research.
