Aled Hughes

Aled Hughes (MCIPS) is an experienced procurement professional currently serving as Associate Director of Procurement at Qiddiya since April 2025. Previously held the title of Head of Procurement at Papilo Ltd from January 2024 to April 2025 and at Cutting Edge Services Ltd from February 2022 to January 2024, where Aled led a strategic overhaul of the supply chain process, achieving significant stock value reduction and enhanced reliability. Prior roles include Head of Procurement at European Metal Recycling Limited, overseeing procurement activities across 70 depots with a substantial annual spend, and International Procurement Manager at BAUER Group, responsible for strategic purchasing in the UAE. Aled began the professional journey at Bachy Soletanche Group Limited, ascending from Assistant Buyer to Buyer - Category Manager. Aled holds a degree in Purchasing, Procurement/Acquisitions, and Contracts Management from St Helens College.
