Laura Thompson

Laura Thompson, Ph.D., is a seasoned professional in education and social policy with extensive experience in program design and implementation. Currently serving as the Manager of Program Design & Implementation at the QIKIQTANI INUIT ASSOCIATION, Laura previously held the position of Regional Manager at Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada, and Manager of Communications at the Office of the Languages Commissioner of Nunavut. Laura's career includes significant roles at Nunavut Tunngavik as Senior Writer, where contributions supported the mission of promoting Inuit well-being through adherence to the Nunavut Agreement. Additionally, Laura has served as Manager of French Services for the Government of Nunavut, and has held academic positions as Associate Professor at Acadia University. Earlier roles include Teacher Consultant for the Library of Parliament and various teaching positions in Francophone schools. Laura's educational background includes a Doctorate in Education and multiple degrees in related fields from esteemed institutions.
