Daffodil Canson is a Research Officer at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, focusing on genetic variants linked to cancer predisposition since July 2018. Canson has previously held positions as a Research Assistant and PhD Student, where the thesis involved bioinformatics and mRNA analysis of germline variants associated with cancer risk. Prior experience includes serving as an Instructor at the University of the Philippines, teaching undergraduate chemistry and biochemistry, and as a University Research Associate at the Institute of Human Genetics, where responsibilities involved molecular genetics research, laboratory management, and publication writing. Daffodil Canson holds a PhD in Human/Medical Genetics from The University of Queensland, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the University of the Philippines.
