Arash Rashidi

Arash Rashidi, Ph.D., is a Senior Principal Motor Design-Controls Engineer and QinetiQ US Fellow at QinetiQ US since October 2022, where significant improvements to electromechanical performance of robot motor drive systems have been achieved. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Motor Design Engineer at ResMed, focusing on BLDC motors for medical applications, and as a Senior Electromagnetic Engineer at Kearfott Corporation, where analytical tools for aerospace designs were developed. Arash worked at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles on electric motor design for hybrid vehicles and held positions at multiple companies such as Electromech Technologies, FLANDERS, and EcoMotors, concentrating on electric machines and performance modeling. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University, complemented by a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from Sharif University of Technology.
