Dana Lopes

Principal Software Engineer at QinetiQ North America

Dana Lopes has a strong background in software engineering, having worked at QinetiQ North America since 2010. They started as a Software Engineering Co-op, supporting various projects for unmanned vehicles and working on the Bobcat Robotic Control Kit Common Control Unit Software. They then progressed to become a Senior Software Engineer, leading a Talon IV based project and supporting autonomy integration for the Talon platform Common Control Unit Software. Dana is currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer at QinetiQ North America. They also gained experience as a Tech Intern 1 at BAE Systems, where they developed an application suite for distributing image processing tasks. Additionally, they worked as a Systems Engineer/Intern at Sun Microsystems, focusing on scripting and power-saving experiments for servers.

Dana Lopes holds a Master's Degree in Computer Engineering from Northeastern University, which was obtained from 2011 to 2014. Prior to this, Dana completed a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the same university, spanning from 2006 to 2011.
