Alistair Smith

Alistair Smith has over 20 years of work experience in the engineering industry. Alistair currently holds a role as Principal Systems Engineer at QinetiQ, where they have been since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at the same company starting in August 2020. Before joining QinetiQ, Alistair gained extensive experience at Rolls-Royce. Alistair'sroles there included Project Systems Engineer - UltraFan®, Flight Clearance Lead from November 2018 to July 2020, Project Systems Engineer - UltraFan® from June 2017 to November 2018, Functional Development Team Leader from January 2012 to June 2017, Functional Development Tech Lead – Trent 1000 from January 2010 to January 2012, Development Engineer - Turbines & Combustion from August 2008 to January 2010, and Functional Development Engineer from July 2007 to August 2008. Alistair began their career at Cummins Inc. in 2001, where they worked as an Application Support Engineer (internship) from August 2001 to July 2002, and later as a Plant Support Engineer from July 2002 to May 2005.

Alistair Smith obtained a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, General from Coventry University between the years 1999 and 2002.
