Des Taylor

Des Taylor has extensive experience in the aerospace and defense sector, currently serving as a Management Consultant for QinetiQ since November 2018 while also fulfilling a retired status at Ex Aviation & Defence since May 2023. Taylor has held various senior leadership positions, including Chief Operating Officer at Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group and Chief Financial Officer at L3 TRL Technology, overseeing financial and operational strategies. Earlier roles included Director of Business Operations at TAYLORS CONSULTING, where Taylor managed special projects and the turnaround of a composites business, and Head of Acquisition Projects at Cobham, playing a key role in a significant acquisition. With a Chartered Management Accountant qualification, Taylor possesses a strong finance background, having been responsible for financial affairs across multiple divisions and locations.
