Ian Gaywood

Ian Gaywood is an experienced project and program manager with a strong background in trade compliance, portfolio management, and IT development. Currently serving as the Global Trade Compliance Manager at QinetiQ since November 2012, Ian leads a team of export control experts and ensures high-quality service delivery. Previous roles include TPI Programme Manager at QinetiQ, PMO Lead positions at Old Mutual and De La Rue, and extensive project management experience at ITT Defence and Capgemini, where Ian managed large portfolios and oversaw significant budgets. Ian's career began in clerical support at Hampshire County Council, progressing through technical and management roles across several organizations, including EDS and AT&T Istel. Ian holds a higher national certificate in Computer Studies from Southampton Institute of Higher Education.
