Benjamin Chen

Benjamin Chen has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Benjamin is currently working as a Data Analyst at Qlarant since February 2020. Prior to that, they served as a Data Science Intern at Cognitive Leap Solutions Inc. from June 2018 to September 2018. In this role, they developed a data analysis pipeline and built scripts for statistical analysis and machine learning using Python.

Before their role at Cognitive Leap Solutions Inc., Chen was the Owner and Videographer at Match+Made Films from June 2013 to June 2018. Benjamin managed operations and client relationships while also serving as a videographer and editor for projects.

Additionally, Chen has experience working as a Server at Roy's Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine from September 2015 to July 2017 and as a Data Entry Clerk at Summit Investments from July 2013 to September 2014. In these roles, they performed clerical tasks and evaluated databases for client information and data analysis.

Chen also worked as a Social Media Lead at Three Horizons Productions, LLC from August 2012 to August 2014, where they managed all social media operations and directed promotional video campaigns for the production company.

Prior to their professional career, Chen worked as a Choreographer at Temple City High School from 2008 to June 2014. In this role, they choreographed dance routines for the school show choir, provided instruction in dance and vocal technique, and assisted in planning curricular activities and events.

Benjamin Chen pursued their education beginning in 2008 at Pasadena City College, where they obtained an associate's degree in Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Communication Arts. After completing their degree, they enrolled at UC San Diego in 2017. Benjamin focused on Cognitive Science with a specialization in Machine Learning and Neural Computation, and successfully earned their Bachelor of Science degree in 2019.
