Matthew Plowey

Matthew Plowey is a seasoned software engineer and team lead currently employed at Qliro since May 2022. Prior to this role, Matthew served as a front-end developer and team lead at Flowbox, which ranked #8 in Deloitte Sweden Technology Fast 50 in 2020, from December 2020 to April 2022. Matthew also participated in a rigorous full-stack JavaScript training program at the School of Applied Technology, where skills in JavaScript, Node, React, HTML5, CSS3, MongoDB, TDD, Git, Agile, and mob-programming were developed. Prior experience includes working as a research assistant at Stockholm University, where contributions involved field campaigns and satellite data analysis of the Baltic Sea, and as head of science at Internationalla Engelska Skolan Bromma. Matthew holds a Master’s Degree in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography from Stockholm University, a Master of Science in Geodesy and Geoinformatics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences and Geographic Information Science and Cartography from the University of Pittsburgh.
