Christine Oryang has over 30 years of work experience. Christine began their career in 1992 as a Computer System Specialist at the State Department of Rehabilitation in Alabama. In 2002, they moved to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) - Department of Treasury as a Business Program Analyst. In 2018, Christine joined Splunk as a Splunk Engineer. In 2020, they began working as a Consultant/Splunk Architect at bitsIO Inc. and in 2021, they became a Splunk Security Engineer at GuidePoint Security. Currently, Christine is a Senior Splunk Engineer/Consultant at Qmulos.

Christine Oryang received their Bachelor of Science in Economics from Makerere University between the years 1986 and 1989. Christine then went on to earn a Master's degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services from Auburn University between 1989 and 1991. In addition, Christine has obtained various certifications from institutions such as Splunk, AXELOS, and CompTIA, including Splunk Certified User, ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management, Splunk Accredited Splunk Cloud Fundamentals Consultant, Splunk Accredited Splunk Cloud Migrations Consultant, Splunk Core Certified Consultant, Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect, Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin, Splunk Core Certified Power User, Splunk Core Certified User, and CompTIA Security+.
