Stephan Roux

Stephan Roux has had a long and varied career in the IT industry. Starting in 1993 as Chief Buyer for Electronics and Security Concepts, they then moved to Concord Computers in 1995 as Technical Manager. In 1996, they joined Computer Concepts as a Network Engineer, followed by Kuyasa Internet Service in 1999 as Manager and Web Developer. In 2001, they took up a Technical Support Engineer role at Mosaic Software, before becoming Infrastructure Manager at Datacash in 2002. In 2014, they moved to Qorus Software as IT Ops and Security Manager. In this role, Stephan was responsible for staff management, maintenance of IT infrastructure, architecture, functionality, and operational performance of all IT systems. Stephan also managed budgeting and procurement, capacity and lifecycle management, licensing management, corporate services, desktop support, PCI compliance, vulnerability and patch management. Stephan was involved in key projects such as group wide Windows7 upgrade, duplicating production datacenter in CPT as stress test, 5 successful PCI audits, HA database re-design, data-center migration, multiple acquisitions and mergers, and 3 office moves.

Stephan Roux attended Grens Highschool from 1983 to 1990, where they obtained their Matric. Stephan then attended North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit from 1991 to 1992, where they obtained a B.Eng Mech in Engineering.
