Scott Sorenson has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of IC design engineering. Scott currently works at Qorvo, Inc. as a Principal IC Design Engineer in the Power Management department since December 2020. Prior to Qorvo, they spent three years at Medtronic as a Senior Principal Analog IC Design Engineer from September 2017 to December 2020. Before Medtronic, they worked at Starkey Hearing Technologies for three years as a Principal Mixed Signal IC Design Engineer from June 2014 to April 2017. Scott also has significant experience in the analog IC design field, having spent 14 years at Texas Instruments from February 2000 to June 2014, where they worked on various circuits, including high-speed transceivers, low-noise front-end design, LDOs, charge sense amplifiers, transimpedance amplifiers, GmC filters, precision bias circuits, ultra-low power circuit design, power management system design, and high-precision measurement circuits. Prior to Texas Instruments, Scott worked at VTC as a Design Engineer, where they specialized in designing low-noise and high-performance reader front-ends for hard disk drive preamplifiers and high-speed write driver development for the same preamplifiers.
Scott Sorenson pursued their education in the field of Electrical Engineering. Scott obtained a Bachelor's degree (BSEE) from Minnesota State University, Mankato, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. Later, they attended the University of Minnesota and completed their Master's degree (MSEE) in Electrical Engineering from 2002 to 2005.
